Most states operate under traditional tort state auto insurance law. In tort systems, individuals can go to court to receive damages when they’re injured or when their property is damaged by a driver. The logic behind this type of system is that the at-fault party should have to pay, but tort systems have some serious problems, not the least of which is the high cost of litigation. Some states like Florida have adopted no fault state auto insurance law.

I came across various incidents while working for compare.com life insurance. I am inspired to write this post by a case that I just came across. It was about how a family was ruined after the head of the family died in an accident. He bought an insurance policy 15 years ago when he was a bachelor and assigned his roommate as a nominee. Later he forgot to update the nominee ship. And the insurance company gave the entire sum assured to the so called roommate.
- Most of us have our life insurance premium paid directly from our bank account via EFT. But we forget to update this info when we change our account from one bank to another or discontinue this account.

According to the latest research by a leading car insurance comparison website, 40% of motorists admitted using their mobile phones while driving. This reason highlights the requirement of appropriate insurance policy as using phones could possibly increase the chance of accidents.
It has been revealed and admitted by 15% drivers that when stuck in the unlikely traffic jams, they make use of phones for calls and e-mails. A high amount of 21% admitted that they used phones when they were stopped at traffic lights.
Increasing popularity on social networking via phones is one of the major factors encouraging users while they are driving.
